Welcome

It is an honour and privilege helping people meet their counselling goals.

Someone who is trained and experienced can help make connections and identify alternatives that might be difficult to see otherwise.

It is a powerful experience when you find a connection with a counsellor who has the knowledge and desire to help you through some of your most difficult times.

I am devoted to listening patiently with kindness, caring, compassion, and respect. I create a comforting and a non-judgmental connection with people.

I welcome you to reach out to me with any questions you might have and to identify if counselling is the right choice for you.

Why some people come to counselling?

I have observed that people come to counselling to find answers for some similar concerns.   You might be able to relate to some.

  • Sometimes we can feel a little lost or confused.  We can experience a lot of thoughts that are upsetting. Maybe we are questioning who we are or what we want in life.

  • Sometimes we can be really hard on ourselves and are dealing with lots of harsh or self-doubting thoughts about who we might be.

  • We worry way too much about what other people think of us; sometimes we wonder if we are “good enough.”  Do we fit in?

  • We notice that we aren’t feeling very much at all at times.

  • Sometimes we are having trouble getting out of bed in the morning or just able to feel motivated to doing even basic tasks.

  • We might be having difficulty sleeping at night.  It is hard to shut down our thoughts.  We tend to go through lists in our head, etc.

  • Sometimes we are experiencing difficulty with our partner.  We aren’t really communicating well and sometimes we get irritated easily with each other or feel hurt.

  • Sometimes we feel disconnected from our adult children or teenagers.  We wonder if we are doing the right thing.  We worry about some of their behaviours.
